在山西,2.8万余处古建筑像璀璨的珍珠点缀着表里山河,是全国唯一保存了从唐至清各时期木结构古建筑的省份,境内元代及元代以前的木结构古建筑占全国的80%以上,被誉为没有围墙的“中国古代建筑艺术博物馆”。
如何让这些跨越时光的文化瑰宝真正走进大众视野、被更多人读懂?「黑神话:悟空」的到来给出了这份独特答案。
Shanxi is home to over 28,000 ancient buildings, dotted like bright pearls across its "internal rivers and external mountains" (a traditional term for its geography). As China’s only province preserving wooden-framed ancient structures from the Tang to Qing dynasties, it holds over 80% of the nation’s surviving wooden buildings from the Yuan Dynasty and earlier, known as an "open-air museum of ancient Chinese architectural art".How can these cultural treasures, which have transcended time, truly enter the public eye and be understood by more people?The arrival of Black Myth: Wukong offers a unique answer to this question.
「黑神话:悟空」遇见山西——古建数字艺术展是“游戏科学”官方授权的重磅展览,是全球少有的“游戏IP”与“古建文化”深度融合的数字艺术空间。
游戏NPC“八戒”打破次元壁, 以 2230㎡ 沉浸空间为叙事载体,带领游客开启返本还原、晋筑探秘、古建寻迹、再见上下、有情有欲五大展区。用超过40分钟的超现实数字光影,走进"游戏视角"中山西古建的真实世界。
The Black Myth: Wukong Encounter Shanxi – Digital Architecture Art Exhibition, officially authorized by Game Science, is a rare digital art project that deeply integrates game IP with ancient architectural culture. The game’s NPC Bajie breaks the boundary between worlds. Taking the 2,230-square-meter immersive space as the narrative carrier, he leads visitors through five major sections — Origin Reconstruction, Jin Architecture Exploration, Traces of Ancient Architecture, Beyond Rivalry, and Sentient Desire. Through over 40 minutes of surreal digital light and shadow, visitors step into the real world of Shanxi’s ancient architecture from a game-inspired perspective.

across the walls and the floor
not only outlining its breathtaking sight of
“emerging from the cliff and standing against the mountain,”
but also unfolding the verses of ancient poets and
the silhouettes of artisans carving it long ago

In the exhibition, a 5.5-meter-tall model
of the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is handcrafted by
an inheritor of an Intangible Cultural Heritage project
Enhanced with digital light and shadow effects,
the model dynamically portrays the changing of
seasons and the movement of the sun, moon
and stars — allowing visitors to feel the enduring strength of
this ancient pagoda standing firm through the passage of a thousand years

In the Three Pure Ones Hall of Yongle Palacethe Chaoyuan Tu
portrays nearly three hundred deities in majestic procession
Its flowing lines move like drifting clouds
its colors remain vivid through the centuries —
a true “living fossil” in the history of Chinese painting
Digitally restored through high-resolution scanning
the mural reveals itself as you gently illuminate it with a
flashlight — and the deities of a thousand years seem to whisper across time

小西天,原名千佛庵
位于隰县城西北一里处的凤凰山巅
千佛庵大雄宝殿保存较多明代的彩色悬塑
全堂彩塑是中国较为少见的彩色艺术群塑
具有不可估量的历史和艺术价值
堪称是“中国悬塑艺术博物馆”
Xiaoxitian, originally named Qianfo’an
is located atop Phoenix Mountain
about one li northwest of Xixian County
The Mahavira Hall preserves a significant number of
Ming-dynasty colored hanging sculptures
Its full ensemble of painted sculptures is one of the rarest examples of
polychrome group sculpture in China
of immeasurable historical and artistic value —
a veritable museum of Chinese hanging sculpture art
展区「古建寻迹」部分以时间线索概述山西古建的主要脉络;我们在其中设置的数字互动屏以结构化方式整合并呈现相关建筑资料。将结构图像、历史节点与典型细部以分层方式组织,通过触控与手势识别实现信息的动态响应。观众在滑动、点击或以特定手势触发时,界面会依次展开对应建筑的关键内容,如形制特点、空间关系或图像细节等。互动屏以多级跳转与视觉化呈现的方式,使观众在沉浸环境中能更主动地探索、阅读与理解古建信息。
The “Traces of Ancient Architecture” section presents the main timeline of Shanxi’s architectural heritage. A digital interactive screen structures and displays key architectural data, layering structural diagrams, historical milestones, and characteristic details. Through touch and gesture recognition, visitors can reveal information such as formal features, spatial relationships, and detailed imagery. Multi-level navigation and visualized responses allow visitors to actively explore and understand ancient architecture within the immersive environment.
